Total eclipse – a symbol of major changes
On April 8, a total solar eclipse will take place, visible in America and Mexico.
A rare event, as the next one in that region won't be seen until 2044.
The sky will darken, as if it were sunrise or sunset. Weather permitting, people in the path of the eclipse's totality will see the Sun's Corona, or the Sun's outer atmosphere, which is usually obscured by the Sun's bright surface (source: NASA).
In the past, when I felt a bit lost and was going through major changes, the symbol of the Corona also came to mind.

Self-reflection and change
A lot has changed in my life in recent years, because I dared to listen to my inner voice, a voice that screamed for change!
Als je in je proces van zelfontwikkeling of zelfrealisatie zit, wat eigenlijk je hele leven hier op aarde is, merk je dat je soms behoefte hebt om ‘naar jezelf te kijken’. Je bewust worden van wat er allemaal is gebeurd, wat dat met je heeft gedaan en hoe je op situaties hebt gereageerd. Daarbij kun je je ook vragen gaan stellen als ‘had ik anders kunnen of moeten reageren’, ‘ben ik goed (genoeg) voor mijzelf op gekomen’ en ‘ben ik tevreden over de afloop’, ‘Wat doet dit met mij’? ‘Wat wil ik eigenlijk echt?’.

Deze eclips is als symbool te zien en een mogelijkheid om opnieuw te kijken naar ons leven en intenties te zetten: wat wil ik nu echt? Welke verandering en transformatie wil ik in mijn leven?
Ik heb er al eerder over geschreven: maar muziek kan daarbij zeer helend werken. Daarom wil ik onderstaande Engelse tekst en muziek nogmaals delen, die ik geschreven heb in 2023: ‘Paradise of the Soul’.
A text about feeling lost, about a search for the meaning of life, for what makes you happy. A search for inner peace, for a state of 'carelessness' and feeling happy. At some point during the search we discover that what we are looking for has always been there. In Essence, just like the light and the dark, the true treasure lies within ourselves.

Sometimes, when we are lost
We are searching for purpose
Searching for purpose in life
We want peace of mind
We want to be happy
To reach a state of no-worrieness
We just want to feel comfortable
Feel comfortable with ourselves
We want to live a good life
Free of worries
We are searching for joy, bliss and taken care of
We also want to explore the world
Not only the outer, but also the inner world
We are looking for the hidden treasure.
The hidden treasure that’s covered with dust, in the deepest, darkest parts of our selves
And during our search, on a certain moment
We realize, that everything is already good
We find out that the dark can not exist without the light, and vice versa
When we are able to find the light in ourselves, we realize that We are Paradise
